In a historic event, hundreds of members and supporters of Club Atlético Lanús came together to paint and renovate the stands of their iconic stadium, Ciudad de Lanús-Néstor Díaz Pérez, popularly known as La Fortaleza. This initiative, which began on Saturday, June 13, and concluded on the holiday Monday, was coordinated by the club and its supporters' department. During the long weekend, the Granate community worked intensively from 9 AM until sunset. Men, women, children, and lifelong members showed up with brushes and rollers, contributing their labor voluntarily. The goal was not only aesthetic; it aimed to strengthen social commitment and neighborhood ties, preserving the heritage of an institution known for its social role in the southern part of Greater Buenos Aires. Images of the renovated stands are flooding social media, igniting pride among the people of Lanus. Argentine football shows that stadiums are the home of a family united by their colors.
